Hudson Legion Curling Club Ladder Championship Trophy

General information about the Ladder

The Ladder is the top level of competition at our club.

Draws take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays although, typically, a person would only play on one of those days during any given week.

This season 12 teams are competing for the overall club championship.
Players remain part of the same team during the entire season.

The following rules will be applied in the Ladder competition:

   For each game, points are awarded as follows:
       game between two Division A teams: win = 10 points, loss = 6 points
       game between two Division B teams: win = 9 points, loss = 5 points
       tied games: Division A 8 points each, Division B 7 points each
   Teams that default a game receive 0 points

At the beginning of every round, the top 6 teams in the overall standings are seeded in Division A while the remaining teams are seeded in Division B. Each team starts with half the points tallied at the conclusion of the previous round. After the last regular season round, the team with the largest number of points will be declared the regular season Ladder Champion. Head-to-head results will be used to break ties. The standings at the end of the regular season will determine the seeding for the Club Championship playoffs.

Time and Tied Game Rules:

Ties are allowed. For games starting at 6:45 pm, first rock of 8th end must be delivered no later than 8:50 pm. For games starting at 9:00 pm, first rock of 8th end must be delivered no later than 10:50 pm.
